I GIVE MY FRIENDS FLOWERS is the creative outlet of Jacob Klein + friends.
Jacob began making records at age 10, growing up between his father's hi-fi audio shop and his mother's garden — learning early to listen closely to sound, space, and feeling. He studied at Duquesne and Belmont, apprenticed alongside Jules Shear and Larry Crane, and spent a decade producing and engineering before turning that attention inward.
The music moves between indie soul, lo-fi folk, dream pop and alt hip-hop.
Often described as atmospheric, melodic, and soulful.

"DOGSTAR 1" — a 12-song LP, non-linear, kaleidoscopic, and densely immersive — led by single "VOICES." Named for Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, the record moves between dream pop, alt-pop, electronic-soul, and lo-fi folk, spanning the full range of what it means to lose people to death, distance, and change, and what it means to keep choosing love anyway. Produced between Pittsburgh, Asheville, and the New River Gorge with co-producers Harrison Wargo, Gabriel Lotfy-Nassar, Kyle Baumbach, Julian Klein, Julius Tunstall, Evan Isaac Black, and Mike Johnson. Mastered by Chris Gehringer at Sterling Sound.
